ASAP ( Additional Skill Acqisition Programme) is jointly implemented by General and Higher Education Departments and focuses on equipping students with additional skills for employability. It is proposed to impart the additional skill modules along with the regular educational process for the undergraduate students.

The cell focus on providing grooming sessions including interview preparations to students as part of placement support and as a feeding point for developing customized training programs
The Asap cell in our college has started early this year as Mr Junaid EK lecturer in Automobile engg dept as faculty cordinator, Afil K of CS6A as chair person, Rathila Pm of CS4B as treasurer and respected principal as patron of the cell.
The asap cell has around 100 members and working effectively to impart its objectives
YOUTH SKILL DAY CELEBRATION
An awareness program was conducted on 15thjuly 2021 to make the students realise the importance of developing skills by themselves in various fields to create a bright working scenario. The program was inaugurated by Mr Ameerali ,Principal KMCT polytechnic college and session was handled by Mr RaghunadhThampi, career guidance resource person , Calicut
TECHNICAL EXHIBITION
An exhibition was conducted showcasing technical equipments , instruments and tools in collaboration with Automobile association on January 11th 2022 . The program was inaugurated by Mr Subair P.H, , Principal KMCT polytechnic college and students and staffs of all the departments were actively present at the event.
The arrangements were done at Automobile workshop and faculties were assigned to explain about the exhibits and students were interested in acquiring knowledge about automotive technologies.
